If you are looking to do something radical with your Gap Year,
then look no further! BMS Action Teams are a combination of high-energy young
people like you, the needs of the world and our dynamic God.
Training - September
You'll experience four weeks of training. We'll cover crossing
cultures, getting to know and share Jesus with others better, health
stuff and how to survive and much, much more. We help you team-build at
an outdoor activity centre and make sure that you put your 'up-front'
training into practice through two weekend church placements.
Overseas - October to April
Action Teams work and serve alongside BMS mission personnel or
partners in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa. You can be part of
this and get involved in any number of areas like working with street
kids, teaching basic English and assisting in church programmes
Tour - April to June The UK tour is an opportunity to do mission back here. The tour is
an amazing opportunity to share your experiences and challenge others
to get involved in mission. You'll make an impact through leading youth
and children's events, getting involved in schools and prison work,
leading church services and probably anything else that comes to mind…
When teams get back to UK in April, the challenge doesn’t stop
there! BMS is committed to mission in this country too, and after a short time
of debriefing and training the teams hit the road on a tour of UK
churches…including their own! This is a fantastic chance to share your
experiences and challenge other young people to get involved in mission.
